About this cartoon: One of the sharpest differences between Democrats and Republicans is on climate change, with the former agreeing with 97 percent or so of the world's scientists that global warming and climate change pose grave and urgent dangers to the entire planet and are largely mankind's doing, and with most prominent Republicans denying that the problem is real, or that humans are involved much, or that much of anything should be done. Given that fossil fuel interests heavily fund the party, this viewpoint is not only cynical but potentially catastrophic to the future of the planet and its inhabitants.
